The Sun is a daily newspaper serving San Bernardino County, including the cities of San Bernardino, Highland, Rialto, Fontana, Redlands, Colton, Grand Terrace, Loma Linda and communities in the High Desert and San Bernardino Mountains.
The Sun was founded on Sept. 1, 1894, when San Bernardino was a small city of just 3,000 residents. In 1974, it took the name The Sun-Telegram, then changed its name in 1986 to The San Bernardino County Sun, reflecting a regional approach to local news coverage.
Today, The Sun is a multimedia news organization serving information in print as well as online and on mobile devices, such as smartphones and tablet computers.
